Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Tennessee Titans Prediction: Can Derrick Henry, Titans Get Their Revenge?

Can Derrick Henry and the Titans get their revenge against the Jaguars after the Jags knocked the Titans out of the playoffs last year? Can the Titans do the same thing to the Jags this year? Krabs shares his Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Tennessee Titans prediction.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Tennessee Titans Prediction: Can Derrick Henry, Titans Get Their Revenge?

There’s no way the Jacksonville Jaguars lose to the Tennessee Titans after beating the Carolina Panthers 26-0 last week, right? If that’s the way you’re thinking when you’re looking at the NFL slate, maybe sit this week out. Mike Vrabel and the Titans are always looking to play spoiler…

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Tennessee Titans Prediction

The Jaguars are frauds. They might still make the playoffs if they win this game today, but Mike Vrabel and the Titans aren’t the team to pack it in and give up in Week 18. This is probably Derrick Henry’s last game in Nashville, and Ryan Tannehill is still looking to prove that he deserves a starting spot under center. This is still an AFC South rivalry game; the Titans will show up accordingly, even if they are eliminated from playoff contention.

The Jaguars have a decent rushing defense if you look at the numbers, but they’ve had some easy matchups against teams without a big rushing presence earlier this season. They’ve been getting torched on the ground over his last three games, and the Titans will be looking to give King Henry plenty of carries in his last game as a Titan.

Last year, the Titans and Jags were in this exact same situation, with the roles reversed. The Jaguars played spoiler and knocked the Titans out of the playoffs. I’m sure Mike Vrabel and the Titans remember that excruciating loss to end their season last year; expect them to come out hot and get revenge on their division rival.

Trevor Lawrence might be playing today, but he’s clearly not 100% healthy. Neither are a lot of his receiving weapons. The public is slamming Lawrence and the Jags on Saturday to cover and clinch the playoffs, but the line has slowly crept down from TEN +5 to TEN +3.5 on Sunday. This reverse line movement is a great sign for Titans backers…

Nobody is expecting the Titans to win or cover this game. Then why is the spread dropping nearly two points on the day of the game? The Titans are the sharpest play of the Week 18 NFL slate; lock them in and I’ll meet you at the cash counter.
