I am admittedly following my heart here more than anything else. I am a lifelong Detroit Lions fan so this is done more with emotion than logic. Detroit has never had a team in my lifetime that has looked this promising and this game has all the narratives you would want.

The main focus has been Matthew Stafford returning to Detroit and understandably so. What about Jared Goff getting a chance to get revenge on the team that gave up on him? He had to watch Stafford and the Rams hoist a Lombardi two years ago and now gets a chance to show that he could have done that too.

Detroit will be at home where they will have a massive advantage. This fanbase hasn’t had a playoff win in over 30 years, us fans are starved for anything to cling onto so Ford Field will be LOUD. With or without Sam LaPorta this offense will be humming and I believe we will see the training wheels off of Jahmyr Gibbs and Jameson Williams and a motivated Amon-Ra St. Brown following a Pro Bowl snub.
I like buying the half point because I could see this coming down to a field goal game. I can see this one being 27-24 or something along those lines. The Lions allow the fewest rush yards to running backs and Kyren Williams has been a big reason for their success. If they make Los Angeles one dimensional I can see them forming stops despite the duo of Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua. I think Detroit has the better roster and the home crowd behind them. Let's go Lions and let's roll!
