The Kansas City Chiefs travel to Buffalo tonight to take on the Bills in the AFC Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs. The Chiefs were able to get past the Dolphins in the wildcard round thanks to the help of weather and very good defense. The Chiefs defense was on Tua all night and they were not able to get anything going. Now, Mahomes hits the road for the first time in the playoffs for his first true game in the playoffs of his career. The Bills are 2.5-point favorites to take care of business today and play the Ravens in the AFC championship. Can they get it done?

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills Prediction
This is a revenge spot from the 2021 playoffs. The Chiefs hosted the Bills in the 2021 AFC divisional round and had a comeback on the last drive of regulation before taking it to overtime with the infamous Josh Allen coin flip game. The Bills looked like they were going to win that game on the road before Mahomes did his magic and got into field goal range with just 13 seconds left. Now, it is the Bills turn to host the Chiefs and try to enact their revenge. The documented struggles for Josh Allen have been his turnovers as he has 18 interceptions this season. That is the most in any season of his career, but he was also fourth in passing yards with 4,306 and had 29 passing touchdowns, which ranked fifth in the NFL. He has also added 15 rushing touchdowns on the ground throughout the regular season. In the wildcard round against the Steelers, Josh Allen was just as dangerous using his legs as he was through the air.
He had 74 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown, which added to his 203 passing yards in three passing touchdowns. While he only had just over 200 passing yards, he had a 70% completion percentage and was very efficient in that game. if Josh Allen can keep his interceptions in check and not throw a pick in this game, the Bills offense should do very well today. For as much crap as Josh Allen has gotten for his interceptions, Patrick Mahomes has 14 himself this year. Mahomes statistically had one of the worst years since he has been in the NFL. He threw the least passing yards per game of his career, had the lowest average yards per completion, and the lowest passing touchdowns per game, while also throwing the most interceptions he has in a season. Not all of it was on Mahomes, though, as he has had to deal with a tricky receiving corps full of receivers dropping the ball all season for him.
While he has found a number-one receiver in rookie, Rashee Rice, the connection took some time to build, although now Mahomes can rely on him. However, the shoes were still big to fill after Tyreek Hill left, as we have seen all season from this offense. To make matters worse, Travis Kelce has also shown a lot of regression this year, having his first season under 1000 receiving yards since 2016. Travis Kelce has had uncharacteristically bad games this season and has now not caught a touchdown in seven straight games. The Bills have been playing their best football down the later stretch of the season. They won the last five regular games this season, beating the Chiefs on the road, blowing out the Cowboys at home, and beating the Dolphins on the road in the process. Josh Allen has had some interception issues, but he has also been using his legs a lot lately and is making special plays down the field with his arm and legs which has more than made up for it.
I believe this is the Bill's year to get their revenge against Mahomes and Co. Even though they beat them in the regular season, the playoffs are different, and the Bills are simply paying better on both sides of the ball. The Chiefs had a favorable matchup in the wildcard round, facing the Dolphins in the elements, but now they have to go to Buffalo. Given what we have seen from Mahomes and this struggling offense, I think the Bills can take advantage on defense and Josh Allen can do enough on offense with his legs and Stefon Diggs to get it done today.
