Back to the gridiron for another round of preseason football today. The Minnesota Vikings are hosting the Las Vegas Raiders for the first preseason game of the season for both squads, and I think there is a clear edge in this one.

Las Vegas Raiders vs. Minnesota Vikings Prediction
Garnder Minshew and Aidan O'Connell are going to be battling it out for the QB1 spot for the Raiders this preseason, and both quarterbacks are expected to get a real chance at an evaluation tomorrow. Antonio Pierce said the starters on offense will play for the most part to help both signal callers get a real, true look at how they would run this squad this season. I expect the offense to be firing, at least in comparison to the Vikings. The only piece of the puzzle that will not be there is Davante Adams as he is home for the birth of his child.
Minnesota also has a quarterback competition between Sam Darnold and J.J. McCarthy however the Vikings are not playing any of their starters in the skill positions like Aaron Jones and Justin Jefferson. Kevin O Connell is 0-6 in preseason, he does not care about the results in preseason and has made that clear. I am a big fan of J.J. McCarthy, but not sure what to expect from him here in his first time throwing against an NFL caliber secondary.
I think the Raiders have the edge here with two quarterbacks that have real experience starting in this league with a gameday offense around them, Raiders cover.
