Thursday Night Football Same Game Parlay: Will Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson Deliver on Opening Night?

Football is finally back, and I have put together a parlay for tonight's game using the 50% Profit Boost that DraftKings is offering. The Kansas City Chiefs host the Baltimore Ravens to kick off the 2024-2025 NFL season, and we should be in for a great one here! I have four legs that I like in this one, and will talk about why I like each one below.

Baltimore Ravens vs. Kansas City Chiefs Same Game Parlay

The first leg of the parlay is the Baltimore Ravens to win the 1st Half (1st Half Moneyline). The Ravens have been an incredible first half team the last few seasons, and are in a revenge spot after they lost to the Chiefs in the playoffs last season. The Chiefs may have a little Super Bowl hangover, and could come out slow just like they did in Week 1 last season. I am expecting the Ravens to come out of the gates hot tonight and win the first half.

The next three legs are all a little bit correlated here. With this being the 1st game of the season and in primetime, I think we may see a low scoring game, especially with how great both of these defenses are. Primetime unders have been a big money maker the last few seasons, which is why I added the full game under, and I am bumping it up to 51.5 to grab the key number of 51. I am expecting the Ravens to jump out to an early lead and run the ball a ton tonight which is great for the under. This is also why I am adding the Lamar Jackson under 1.5 Passing TDs leg. Lamar is under this number in four of five career games vs. KC, a defense that allowed the 6th-fewest passing TDs last season. I think Jackson and Henry will have big days on the ground and expect most of Baltimore's points to come from that. I am expecting Lamar to end on 1 TD pass tonight.

The last leg, Patrick Mahomes 225+ Passing Yards, fits nicely with the game script I am expecting and correlates well with the other three legs. I think the game script will be neutral and think the Chiefs may be playing from behind in the 2nd half. Mahomes is also just a safe bet for 225+ passing yards most weeks, regardless of the expected game script. He cleared this number in 15 of 20 games last season.
