Green Bay Packers vs. Philadelphia Eagles Prediction
Last season, the Eagles got off to a scorching hot start with a record of 11-1. However, Philadelphia collapsed down the stretch of the season, losing six of their last seven games.
The cold streak pushed the Eagles to a wildcard position. Philly went to Tampa Bay for round one of the playoffs, where they were dominated by the Buccaneers.
Jalen Hurts is back to lead the Eagles' offensive unit. Hurts threw for a career-high 3,858 yards while rushing for a career-best 15 touchdowns.
Former Penn State superstar and Philly favorite Saquon Barkley joins this dynamic Eagles offense. Barkley scampered for 962 yards in his last season with the Giants.
AJ Brown and Devonta Smith make up one of football's best wide receiver duos. Meanwhile, Vic Fangio will take over an Eagles defense that was among the worst in football last season.
On the other side, Green Bay comes into the year after exceeding expectations in 2023. The Packers snuck into the playoffs and then blew out the Dallas Cowboys in round one on the road.
With a trip to the NFC Championship game on the line, the Pack gave the 49ers everything they could handle, but came up short after a late rally from San Fran.
Green Bay now enters the season favored to make the playoffs, mostly thanks to quarterback Jordan Love, who was the breakout star of 2023.
After years of having Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers, the Packers appear to have another franchise quarterback in the former Utah State standout. Love threw for 4,159 yards, 31 touchdowns, with 11 interceptions last season. He ranked second in passing yards in the NFL.
Green Bay improved their backfield in the offseason by adding former All-Pro Josh Jacobs. Jacobs rushed for a career-low 805 yards last season in 13 games with the Raiders.
Jayden Reed leads a talented wide receiver room for the Packers. Reed led the team with 793 yards and eight touchdowns last season. On defense, the Packers ranked 13th in points allowed per game last season (21.4).
