Chicago Bears vs. Houston Texans Prediction, Pick Against the Spread, Latest odds for Sunday Night Football

Houston Texans will host the Chicago Bears for a prime time affair on Sunday Night Football.

Houston comes into the contest with a record of 1-0 on the young season. In Week 1, the Texans picked up a hard-fought win against the Indianapolis Colts.

There was no bigger surprise in football than the Texans last season. Head coach DeMeco Ryans led his squad to a playoff appearance where the Texans upset the Cleveland Browns in the wildcard round.

Unfortunately for the Texans, their playoff success was short-lived, as the Baltimore Ravens blew them out on their way to the AFC Championship.

Entering this season, the expectations for the Texans have grown significantly. Houston is the betting favorite to win the AFC South. The question is, can the Texans live up to these high expectations and repeat similar success this season?

Chicago Bears vs. Houston Texans Prediction

CJ Stroud leads this talented Texans offense. Stroud put up historic rookie numbers a year ago and has quickly inserted himself into the conversation for one of the best quarterbacks in the game. The former Ohio State standout threw for 234 yards and two touchdowns last week.

Joe Mixon looked great in his first game with the Texans, rushing for 159 yards and one touchdown.

Nico Collins was Stroud's favorite target, racking up 117 yards in the win. Stefon Diggs added a pair of touchdowns in his Texans debut.

The Bears picked up an ugly win in Week 1.

Chicago did not score an offensive touchdown, but still defeated the Tennessee Titans 24-17. The Bears won with three field goals, a kick return touchdown, and a pick-six. While it was unconventional, a win is a win.

First-overall pick Caleb Williams's debut was a bit disappointing. Williams threw for 93 yards and zero touchdowns. Chicago racked up just 148 yards as an offensive unit.

D’Andre Swift scampered for 30 yards in his Bears debut.

DJ Moore was Williams' favorite target, as he hauled in five passes worth 36 yards.

Seeing how this Chicago offense performs in prime time tonight will be interesting.

Chicago Bears vs. Houston Texans Pick

While I think Williams is the real deal and will go on and have a great NFL career, this is a tough spot on the road for him tonight.

Ryans and the Texans defense will have a strong game plan making life tough on the rookie quarterback.

In my eyes, Houston has a top-five offense in football, and will have too much firepower for the Bears to keep pace with.

Stroud and the Texans will roll to a cover tonight.
