Leg 1: Joe Mixon 60+ Rushing Yards
Joe Mixon went off in Week 1, and there's no reason to suggest that he won't do it again. The Texans should build a healthy lead on Sunday Night Football, and Mixon will then stack up even more yards in the second half as they protect their lead on the ground. He had a ridiculous 30 carries last week as the bell-cow in his first Texans' game, racking up over 150 yards and a touchdown. The Bears had a strong rushing defense last year, but gave up well over 100 against the Titans last week, and have one of the lowest-rated defensive lines in the league. Mixon will take advantage tonight.
Leg 2: Nico Collins Anytime Touchdown Scorer
Nico Collins emerged as C.J. Stroud's favorite target towards the end of last season, and he showed more evidence of that in Week 1. Collins led the team in receptions, targets, and yards in the win against the Colts last week, ending the day with six catches and 117 yards. He didn't quite find the end zone despite a 55-yard reception, while Stefon Diggs grabbed both of the receiving touchdowns. Collins will get his fill tonight in the red zone with the sheer volume of targets.
Leg 3: Caleb Williams Under 1.5 Passing Touchdowns
The Bears may have won last week, but they looked very poor on offense. Williams only threw for 93 yards and no touchdowns in his debut. He completed less than 50% of his passes, and also ran five times to escape the pocket. Williams is not comfortable enough as an NFL passer yet to be throwing for multiple touchdowns, he has to get just one first. The Texans defense is a top-10 unit, and DeMeco Ryans will give the No. 1 draft pick fits in his first prime time game. He's more likely to throw for zero TD's than two on SNF.
Leg 4: Texans -3.5 Alt Line
The Houston Texans should deliver a strong offensive performance on Sunday Night Football. They're at home for their first game in the dome after putting up 29 against the Colts with ease last week. C.J. Stroud is spreading the ball across the field to his three star receivers, and Mixon is churning up yards on the ground. Even more than their offensive success, they should be able to shut down rookie Caleb Williams and the anemic Bears offense with ease. We're going to shave a couple points off of the touchdown spread here to be safe, but the Texans will have control of this game throughout.
