Thursday Night Football is here and that means we have DraftKings Pick6 picks coming your way. This week, we have an AFC East clash between the New England Patriots and the New York Jets.
This is the first time Aaron Rodgers has played in front of his home crowd since rupturing his Achilles tendon in the opening game of the season in 2023. That means the New York faithful will be rocking and New England is going to have to come into a rough environment.
But, I wouldn't be so sure we're going to see a hug game from the future Hall of Fame QB.
The NFL has been weird this season. In a time where the rules make it easier than ever to score points, not only is scoring down but passing yards and EPA are cratering.
So, how should we bet this one on DraftKings Pick6? Let's take a look.

New England Patriots vs. New York Jets - DraftKings Pick6
Pick 1: Jacoby Brissett under 164.5 passing yards
This one is fairly self-explanatory. New England has a lack of talent on the outside and a veteran QB in Jacoby Brissett who has never been known for taking the top off defenses. Add to that the fact that he's going up against one of the best secondaries in the NFL and it looks like a recipe for disaster.
In two games this season, Brissett has thrown for 121 and 149 yards. He should end tonight's game right around the 150-yard mark.
Pick 2: Rhamondre Stevenson over 0.5 TDs
The only thing the Patriots have done with any sort of consistency is hand the ball off to Rhamondre Stevenson. In the days of Bill Belichick, it was impossible to guess which running back would be featured on a given night. But, Jerod Mayo's team has pounded the rock with Stevenson, who has 201 yards and 2 TD on 46 carries. That's good for 4.4 yards per carry.
The Pats will eventually find the end zone tonight and Stevenson is far and away their best bet.
Pick 3: Allen Lazard over 2.5 receptions
This is not an endorsement of Allen Lazard as a player as much as it is an acknowledgment that Garrett Wilson is likely going to have a tough night tonight and Rodgers' attempts need to go somewhere.
With Rodgers back under center, Lazard has seen his role in the offense bounce back to what was envisioned when he signed here. Rodgers uses Lazard as a safety blanket and I expect him to need to use him a lot tonight.
Pick 4: Garrett Wilson under 66.5 receiving yards
It's been a slow start to the season for Garrett Wilson as he's yet to reach the end zone or log more than 60 receiving yards in a game. So, if DraftKings is setting his line at 66.5 receiving yards tonight while one of the best young cornerbacks in the game, Christian Gonzalez, is guarding him, then I'm hammering the under.
As I said, explosive plays, passing EPA and passing yards as a whole are down across the league. If I'm picking someone to buck the trend, it's not going to be a young WR going against a shutdown corner.
