Stampeders vs. Tiger-Cats Prediction
Calgary erupted for a 52-30 road victory over Winnipeg, scoring 31 unanswered points during the second half. Adams threw for 319 yards and three touchdowns, while Tyreik McAllister became the first player in CFL history to record rushing, receiving and missed-field-goal return touchdowns in the same game. The Stampeders now lead the league at 39.7 points per game and have the speed to attack Hamilton at every level.
Hamilton fell 31-18 to Montreal in its final game of July after beating Toronto 24-23 the previous week. The Tiger-Cats have averaged only 16.3 points across three games without Mitchell, placing greater pressure on their defense to keep every matchup close. Kenny Lawler remains a dangerous target, but Hamilton’s quarterbacks have not consistently pushed the ball downfield or finished promising possessions with touchdowns.
The Tiger-Cats can create resistance at home, particularly if their defensive front forces Adams to hold the ball and prevents Calgary from generating explosive plays. However, the Stampeders can counter with Dedrick Mills on the ground, Jalen Philpot through the air and McAllister in multiple roles. Hamilton does not possess the same offensive flexibility if it falls behind by two scores and must abandon a balanced approach.
Stampeders vs. Tiger-Cats Pick
- Pick: Stampeders -4.5 (-118) Check out these best odds at DraftKings Sportsbook
The 59.5-point total reflects Calgary’s recent production, but the spread provides the stronger route. Hamilton’s offensive limitations make it difficult to match the favorite through four quarters, while Calgary has scored at least 30 points in six consecutive games. The Stampeders should create early separation and force the Tiger-Cats into an uncomfortable comeback script.
