Cleveland is a 3.5-point road favorite, with the Browns -3.5 (-105), Chicago +3.5 (-115) and the total at 40.5. Cleveland finished 5-12 last season and missed the playoffs, while Chicago went 11-6, won the NFC North and reached the Divisional Round before losing 20-17 to the Rams.
The Browns will give their starters only a brief appearance. Cleveland plans to use the first unit for approximately one series, and Shedeur Sanders is expected to start at quarterback as the Browns continue sorting through one of the league’s most crowded quarterback rooms.

Chicago is taking an even more cautious approach at the top. Caleb Williams and a number of other first-team players will not play, leaving Tyson Bagent and the Bears’ younger offensive pieces with a much larger workload.
That sounds like a Cleveland advantage, but it may last only one possession. Once the Browns remove their starters, the game becomes about depth, roster battles and which backup quarterbacks handle changing personnel better.
