4 Minute ReadPanthers vs. Bills Prediction: Can Josh Allen Build Early Lead on Saturday Afternoon in New Stadium?
Buffalo enters as a three-point home favorite, with the Bills -3 (-105), Carolina +3 (-115) and the total at 38.5. Buffalo finished 12-5 last season before a 33-30 overtime loss at Denver in the Divisional Round, while Carolina went 8-9, won the NFC South and lost 34-31 to the Rams in the Wild Card round.
Both starting quarterbacks are expected to get real work. Carolina plans to give Bryce Young and the starting unit roughly 10 to 20 snaps, while Buffalo intends to play all healthy starters, including Josh Allen. Buffalo has not committed to a specific snap count for Allen and will judge his workload by the flow of the game.

Panthers vs. Bills Prediction
That early matchup should favor Buffalo. Allen gets an opportunity to run Joe Brady’s offense in the new stadium, while Greg Rousseau and the starting defense are also expected to see action. Carolina will counter with Young before moving into Kenny Pickett and Haynes King behind him.
The Panthers at least already have game reps after opening preseason in the Hall of Fame Game. King accounted for three touchdowns in that matchup, which gives Carolina’s deeper offensive rotation some live experience that Buffalo’s backups have not yet received.
That is the major complication with any preseason spread. Allen may give Buffalo an immediate advantage, but his impact could last only a few drives before the game becomes a contest between second- and third-string units.
Panthers vs. Bills Pick

Three points is still a manageable number when Buffalo should have the stronger opening group and home field. Carolina’s prior preseason action makes the second half less predictable, but the Bills should have enough early quality and overall depth to create a lead that survives the rotation changes.
