Saskatchewan fell to 6-3 last weekend after letting a 19-10 fourth-quarter lead disappear in a 26-19 loss at Hamilton. The Roughriders allowed 16 unanswered points after Tre Ford entered the game, snapping a two-game winning streak that had included victories over Edmonton and Ottawa.

One bad quarter does not erase a strong first half of the season. Trevor Harris remains one of the league's most experienced quarterbacks, while Samuel Emilus, Kian Schaffer-Baker and KeeSean Johnson give Saskatchewan multiple legitimate receiving threats. The defending Grey Cup champions have also already shown the ability to respond to setbacks, including beating Edmonton 28-26 after losing the first game of that home-and-home series.
BC enters with much better immediate momentum. The Lions have won three straight after beating Calgary 30-26 last Thursday, with Nathan Rourke throwing two touchdowns to Keon Hatcher Sr. and adding a rushing score. BC has recovered from a difficult start to reach 4-5 and suddenly looks like a much more dangerous West opponent.
The problem with laying a price on BC is that inconsistency remains part of its résumé. The Lions needed their current three-game streak simply to climb within one game of .500, and their defense now faces a Saskatchewan offense that already had significant success against it earlier this season.
The first meeting ended 31-27 in Saskatchewan, with Harris throwing for 417 yards and three touchdowns. BC briefly took the lead late before Harris engineered a 92-yard game-winning drive, while Schaffer-Baker and Johnson both topped 100 receiving yards. That matchup demonstrated Saskatchewan can consistently create explosive plays against the Lions secondary.
BC is unquestionably playing better now than it was in June, and Rourke makes the Lions dangerous enough to justify the tight market. But Saskatchewan at +114 offers value on the better season-long team after one disappointing fourth quarter. The Roughriders remain 6-3, already own a win over BC and have the quarterback experience to handle another close finish.
