Tampa Bay and Jacksonville kick off at 7:30 PM ET, with the Buccaneers favored by 2.5 points and the total set at 34.5. Tampa Bay is unbeaten through two preseason games, while Jacksonville enters after being handled by Carolina last week.
Their 2025 seasons were almost complete opposites. Tampa Bay went 8-9 and missed the playoffs after winning only two of its final nine games. Jacksonville surged to 13-4 and won the AFC South before its season ended with a 27-24 Wild Card loss to Buffalo.

Buccaneers vs. Jaguars Prediction
The Jaguars obviously own the stronger regular-season résumé, but Trevor Lawrence and the majority of the starters are expected to sit. Liam Coen has repeatedly prioritized joint practices for his first unit and used mostly reserves in each of Jacksonville's first two preseason games.
Todd Bowles is taking essentially the same approach with Tampa Bay. Baker Mayfield and the Bucs' established contributors will sit, leaving the quarterback situation centered around Jake Browning and Jalon Daniels.
Daniels has been one of the better young quarterbacks of the preseason. The undrafted rookie completed 10 of 15 passes for 111 yards and added a rushing touchdown in a 24-16 victory over the Jets, then sparked Tampa Bay's second-half comeback in a 16-15 win over Kansas City last weekend.
Jacksonville's depth has been less convincing. Nick Mullens, Carter Bradley and Joey Aguilar remain in the mix behind Lawrence, and the Jaguars were outplayed 34-17 by Carolina last Friday. The first-team result does not matter here because the same developmental players are being asked to decide another game.
The biggest difference is Tampa Bay has already demonstrated that its late-game quarterback can manufacture points. Daniels has repeatedly moved the offense when games transition completely to the bottom half of the roster, exactly when preseason spreads are often decided.

Jacksonville should be motivated at home after last week's poor showing, but motivation exists on both sidelines with cuts looming. The Buccaneers have been the cleaner reserve team through two games and have the quarterback most likely to provide another fourth-quarter edge.
