BC heads across the country to Ottawa on Sunday looking to complete one of the CFL's most dramatic midseason turnarounds. The Lions have won four straight after beginning the year 1-5, while the Redblacks remain the league's only winless team and continue to lose games by substantial margins.

BC and Ottawa kick off at 7:00 PM ET at TD Place Stadium, with the Lions favored by 7.5 points and the total set at 60.5. BC has climbed back to 5-5 and third in the West, while Ottawa enters at 0-10 and has yet to win either at home or on the road.
The Lions have completely transformed since falling to 1-5. They have beaten Winnipeg 35-19, Hamilton 27-24, Calgary 30-26 and Saskatchewan 30-16 during their four-game winning streak, moving from the bottom of the division to within striking distance of second place.

Lions vs. Redblacks Prediction
Nathan Rourke has found his rhythm during the surge. He has thrown for more than 300 yards in three consecutive games with six touchdowns over that stretch, while the emergence of Zander Horvath and James Butler has transformed a previously ineffective rushing attack. BC has increased its rushing average from 74.3 yards early in the year to 112.8, with Horvath scoring seven touchdowns in the last four games alone.
The defense has improved just as dramatically. BC forced four turnovers in last week's 30-16 win over Saskatchewan, intercepted Harris twice and prevented the Riders from scoring a touchdown on either red-zone opportunity. The Lions are suddenly winning games even when Rourke does not produce his best individual performance.
Ottawa has shown almost none of that progress. The Redblacks' last four games have ended in losses of 34-13 to Montreal, 42-20 to Saskatchewan, 33-21 to Winnipeg and 46-16 to Montreal. They have allowed an average of 36.8 points per game this season and 38.2 over their last five.
The 0-10 record is concerning enough, but the inability to keep games close makes taking more than a touchdown difficult. Ottawa is only 3-7 against the spread and has lost all five home games. The organization has already brought in longtime CFL executive Jim Popp as a senior football advisor while searching for answers during a season that has deteriorated quickly.
BC has also shown it can win away from Vancouver. Three of the four victories during this streak came on the road, including impressive performances at Winnipeg and Calgary. That takes away one of the few arguments for expecting Ottawa to suddenly make this matchup competitive.

A 7.5-point spread is normally substantial in the CFL, but Ottawa has consistently forced the market to consider numbers like this by losing by multiple scores. BC is the hottest team in the league, Rourke is improving, the running game has become dangerous and the defense is creating turnovers. Until Ottawa proves it can stay competitive for four quarters, there is no reason to fade the Lions' surge.
