Adams immediately raises the offense’s ceiling. He has thrown for 2,548 yards and 22 touchdowns against just two interceptions through ten appearances, adding 214 rushing yards and three scores. That combination of production and ball security gives Calgary a stronger foundation for attacking downfield without repeatedly handing its opponent favorable field position.
Dedrick Mills provides another way to keep the offense moving. His late 49-yard touchdown run decided the Hamilton game, and his presence means Calgary does not need to put everything on Adams immediately. Establishing Mills can create manageable second downs and give Adams opportunities to attack through play action as he settles back into the lineup.
Edmonton presents a difficult test, but its personnel changes matter. Receiver T.J.
