5 Minute ReadFalcons vs. Packers Same Game Parlay Picks for Thursday Night Football on September 24
Atlanta heads to Lambeau Field searching for its first win after one of the NFL's roughest offensive starts, while Green Bay finally returns home after splitting two road games. The Packers are currently favored by 4.5 points with the total at 42.5, but this +375 same game parlay buys additional protection for the Falcons while attacking two player markets shaped heavily by changing roles.
The biggest change is at quarterback, where Penix will make his season debut after completing his recovery from last year's torn ACL. Atlanta hopes the return of its starting quarterback can unlock a group of established weapons that barely produced with Cooper Rush, while Green Bay continues sorting through a backfield that became significantly more unsettled during its Week 2 win.
Falcons vs. Packers Preview
Atlanta is 0-2 after losing 20-13 to Pittsburgh and then collapsing in a 34-3 home loss to Carolina. The Falcons have scored only 16 points through two games, while their quarterbacks have combined for five interceptions and two lost fumbles. Green Bay opened with a 39-22 loss to Minnesota before recovering from a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit to beat the Jets 20-17 in overtime.
The teams have not met since 2023, when Atlanta erased a late deficit and beat Green Bay 25-24. That older matchup carries limited personnel relevance now, but the current version again presents a Packers team favored at home against a Falcons offense entering with plenty to prove.

Falcons vs. Packers Same Game Parlay Breakdown
Leg 1: Kyle Pitts 40+ Receiving Yards
Pitts has barely been involved during Atlanta's disastrous offensive start, recording just one catch for 15 yards across the first two games. He was shut out in Week 1 and played only 37.7% of Atlanta's offensive snaps during the blowout loss to Carolina, but the Falcons have publicly acknowledged that getting him more involved has to become a priority.
Penix's return creates a natural opportunity for that correction. Atlanta spent the opening two weeks playing with backup quarterbacks, while Penix brings significantly more arm talent and should give the Falcons a better chance to attack the seams and intermediate areas where Pitts can create mismatches. The Packers have already allowed opposing tight ends to combine for 10 catches, 80 yards and a touchdown through two games.
Forty yards is still asking for a major increase from Pitts' first two weeks, but that is exactly why this game presents an interesting reset spot. Atlanta needs more from its passing offense, the coaching staff has specifically discussed finding ways to feature Pitts and the quarterback change gives him a legitimate path toward his first meaningful receiving performance of the season.
Leg 2: Falcons +8.5
Buying Atlanta from the current +4.5 spread to +8.5 changes the nature of the wager. The Falcons do not need Penix to immediately solve every offensive issue. They simply need the quarterback upgrade to help them avoid another complete collapse and remain within one possession.
Green Bay has not exactly looked dominant either. The Packers blew a 22-10 second-half lead in their 39-22 loss to Minnesota, then produced only 199 total yards and went 1-for-9 on third down before escaping the Jets 20-17 in overtime. This is a team capable of winning Thursday without necessarily creating major separation.
The additional four points provide significant insurance over the standard market. A 24-17 or 27-20 Packers win would still cash the leg, and Penix gives Atlanta a better chance to sustain drives and protect the defense than the quarterback play it received across the opening two weeks.
Leg 3: MarShawn Lloyd Under 23.5 Rushing Yards
Lloyd has not taken advantage of the opportunity created in Green Bay's backfield. He has 57 rushing yards on 19 carries through two games, an average of exactly 3.0 yards per attempt, after producing 37 yards on 13 carries in Week 1 and only 20 yards on six attempts against the Jets.
More concerning for this prop is the changing workload. Kaleb Johnson did not play an offensive snap in Week 1 but carried eight times for 32 yards in Week 2, out-carrying Lloyd 8-6. Lloyd then lost a fumble and did not receive another carry, while Johnson handled more of the later rushing work and helped Green Bay move into scoring position in overtime.
Lloyd has averaged only 3.0 yards per carry overall, compared with Johnson's 4.0 yards per attempt in his first meaningful action. If Green Bay continues shifting touches toward the more effective Johnson while also using Chris Brooks, Lloyd may not receive enough carries to threaten 24 rushing yards even if the Packers play from ahead.
Falcons vs. Packers Same Game Parlay (+375) Check out these best odds at DraftKings Sportsbook
- Leg 1: Kyle Pitts 40+ Receiving Yards
- Leg 2: Falcons Alt Spread +8.5
- Leg 3: MarShawn Lloyd Under 23.5 Rushing Yards
The +375 construction is built around two role changes and additional spread protection. Penix's return gives Pitts his best opportunity yet to become a meaningful part of Atlanta's passing attack, while moving the Falcons to +8.5 allows plenty of room for Green Bay to win without requiring Atlanta to pull the outright upset.
The Lloyd Under attacks a Green Bay backfield that already began shifting in Week 2. His efficiency has been poor, Johnson immediately earned more carries in his first offensive action and Lloyd's fumble only adds another reason for the Packers to spread the workload Thursday night.
