Arizona visits San Francisco for a 4:05 PM ET kickoff on FOX. The 49ers are favored by roughly 7.5 across much of the market, but Cardinals +8.5 is available at -115 and creates a much more attractive underdog position.
San Francisco has opened with convincing wins over the Rams and Dolphins, but Nick Bosa is now out and Mike Evans is questionable. Arizona is trying to rebound from a 31-7 loss to Seattle after opening with a 26-14 road victory over the Chargers.

Arizona Cardinals (1-1, 0-1 NFC West)
Arizona's offense was efficient in the opener before running into Seattle's championship defense. Brissett has thrown for 372 yards through two games, while McBride ranks among the league leaders with 17 receptions and has scored in both contests.
Brissett practiced fully despite a hip designation and is cleared to play. The Cardinals have injury issues in the secondary, including the season-ending loss of Will Johnson, but Garrett Williams has progressed enough to avoid a final designation.
San Francisco 49ers (2-0)
San Francisco opened by beating Los Angeles 27-7 in Australia before dominating Miami 35-13. Purdy completed 20 of 22 passes against the Dolphins and earned NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors.
The roster is becoming increasingly thin, however. Bosa, Demarcus Robinson, Romello Height and James Thompson Jr. are out, while Evans is questionable with a hip injury. McCaffrey, Trent Williams and Dre Greenlaw are all available.

Cardinals vs. 49ers Line Movement and Betting Splits
San Francisco opened around -8.5 before the tracked market moved toward -7.5. That move is notable because 64% of spread bets and 57% of the handle have still landed on the 49ers.
The total has held around 48, but the Under has drawn 78% of the handle despite receiving only 44% of tickets. The broader market is therefore showing some skepticism about San Francisco maintaining its early offensive pace.

San Francisco deserves to be favored. Purdy has been remarkably efficient, McCaffrey remains healthy and Shanahan's offense has scored 62 points while allowing only 20.
The question is whether that dominance translates into winning by nine or more against a divisional opponent. San Francisco is now missing Bosa and multiple additional defensive linemen, reducing a pass rush that is normally central to protecting the secondary.
That matters for Brissett. Arizona does not need him to produce 300 yards or win a shootout. The Cardinals need him to avoid negative plays, get the ball to McBride and keep enough possessions alive to reach the high teens or low 20s.
McBride is the most important matchup piece. He has 17 catches through two games and gives Brissett the type of reliable middle-of-the-field target that can punish linebackers and safeties when San Francisco tries to manufacture pressure.
Arizona can also play through the running game to shorten the afternoon. Jeremiyah Love and Tyler Allgeier have combined for 141 yards, and a sustained rushing attack reduces the number of possessions available for Purdy to create margin.
Evans' uncertain status helps the underdog case on the other side. San Francisco still has McCaffrey, George Kittle and enough receiving depth to move the football, but potentially removing its biggest outside target makes it harder to consistently generate quick touchdowns.
Most importantly, +8.5 creates substantial protection in a rivalry that produced 16-15 and 24-23 results in two of the last three meetings. San Francisco can control the game and still fail to cover this number.

The 49ers are the better team, but this wager is about margin. Arizona has a veteran quarterback, an elite tight end and enough offensive structure to make San Francisco earn separation.
Bosa's absence and the broader defensive-line injuries reduce the favorite's ability to overwhelm Brissett. Getting more than a touchdown in a divisional game, especially at +8.5, provides too much room to ignore.
