2022 Masters Best Bets: Will Tiger Woods Make the Cut?
2022 Masters Best Bets: Will Tiger Woods Make the Cut?
It's Masters Week people. Not sure if you heard but it's kind of a big deal in the golf community. I'm not the biggest golf guy but I will say this, it's more fun to have money on a golf tournament than it is to not have money on a golf tournament. That's just the straight facts when it comes to golf tournaments. Golf is a little different when it comes to sweating though.

Typically, I like to have it be a pretty sweat-free activity. Sure, you want that final hole +2000 winner, but most of your Masters card should be done by that point. Actually, when done perfectly, you can have multiple plus money bangers already in your pocket by the time any of your "to win" bets even have a chance to get home. Lucky for us, I've spent the entire morning combing through the lines and I found more than a couple of moves that have no chance of losing. It feels good to get back out on the course.

Tiger Woods To Make the Cut (+108) (Bet $100 to Win $108)

I used to live in Orlando, Florida and I used to work out (nbd) at Gold's Gym on Sand Lake Road. One day, I walked in and went straight to the back machines. When I was about 30 feet away, I looked up and saw a guy that looked just like Tiger Woods except he was jacked. We're talking arms like an NFL player. I literally thought to myself, "damn, that guy looks just like Tiger Woods if he was jacked."
As I got closer, I realized that the guy that looked just like a jacked Tiger Woods was actually Tiger Woods. Turns out Tiger Woods was jacked. Who knew? By now I was like five feet from him and making eye contact so I just gave a head nod. He nodded back and I just kept walking. I was shook because he was Tiger Woods and I was me but I played it cool. I bet he still remembers how the whole thing played out. It was one of my better head nods.
The point of the story is, if you've ever looked into Tiger Woods' eyes, you know one thing. He would never come to Augusta just to come to Augusta. He's coming to win this thing. That's why I was surprised when I saw a plus number next to his name just to make the cut. That's crazy. I know he hasn't played in a while but he didn't just forget how to play golf. We're talking Tiger Woods here. He's going to make the cut.
Will Zalatoris Top 20 (+100)(Bet $100 to Win $100)
Corey Conners Top 20 (+150) (Bet $100 to Win $150)
Abraham Ancer Top 30 (+120) (Bet $100 to Win $120)
Robert MacIntyre Top 40 (+105) (Bet $100 to Win $105)
*Odds available at FanDuel at time of publishing*
When it comes to The Masters, I just want a bunch of guys I can follow around the course. My only criteria is that they are all plus money and they all could win the thing. Will any of these guys win? Probably not but every one of them have had success at this course before. Zalatoris finished second here last year and finished fifth in his last event. I'll take even money for him.
Corey Conners has two top 10 finishes in his last two trips to Augusta. In terms of recent form, he hasn't finished outside the top 35 in any of his last four events. Pick him up. In terms of Abraham Ancer, he's only played here twice but both times he finished in the top 30. On top of that, he's coming off a top-five finish in his last outing. Feels right.
Finally, we've got Robert MacIntyre. I lied earlier because I don't think he can win this thing but he can finish in the Top 40. It's borderline disrespectful to say he can't. All he's ever done here is drop a Top 20 last year (12th actually). You want recent form? Between the European tournaments and the PGA Tour, he hasn't finished out of the top 40 since January. We're talking three top 15s in there. He can finish in the Top 40 this week.
