The 2025 PGA Championship is the second major of the season, teeing off at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina on Thursday. Last year's winner, Xander Schauffele, will look to defend his maiden major title at 22-1 in the outright winner betting market.
Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy are the current betting favorites ahead of Round 1. Both have had a lot of production on the links in 2025.
McIlroy has three outright wins, including his iconic victory at The Masters to complete his major Grand Slam. Scheffler just torched the field during the CJ CUP Byron Nelson, winning by eight strokes with a final scorecard of 31-under-par at TPC Craig Ranch.
A loaded field of 156 golfers are set to compete for the Wanamaker Trophy. Other betting favorites include Bryson DeChambeau (+900), Jon Rahm (+1800), Justin Thomas (+2200), Collin Morikawa (+2500) and Ludvig Åberg (+2800).

2025 PGA Championship Prop Bets
Rory McIlroy Round Score - Round 1: Under 69.5 (-140) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best PGA Championship odds
I'm going right to Rory McIlroy and laying juice on an opening round of -2-under-par (69) or lower during Round 1 at Quail Hollow. McIlroy has four wins at this course during his PGA Tour career. Currently ranks second in total strokes gained, including first SG: Off-the-Tee and sixth SG: Putting.
In 2025, McIlroy's Round 1 scoring average is 69.00, 15th-best on the PGA Tour. His power off the tee, combined with improved iron accuracy, ranked 25th SG: Approach, makes this Round 1 Score prop a slam-dunk.
Let's bet a unit on McIlroy to go under 69.5 on this par 71 track on Thursday.
Sungjae Im Birdies or Better - Round 1: Over 3.5 (+105) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best PGA Championship odds
Sungjae Im is struggling with his approach shots in 2025 but has elevated his short game to compensate. The South Korean native ranks 26th SG: Putting and third in putting average, which explains why Im is averaging 4.41 birdies per round.
Oddsmakers have set Im's Round 1 total birdies prop to 3.5, with juice on the under. I expect him to drain a few birdie putts on these fast-paced Bermudagrass greens.
Im ranks 12th in birdie average on the PGA Tour in 2025, so let's bet a unit on over 3.5 total birdies in Round 1 at plus odds.
Harris English v Michael Kim - Round 1: Harris English (-110) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best PGA Championship odds
I'll dip into the Round 1 matchup props and target Harris English as a slight underdog against Michael Kim. English ranks 24th in total driving and 18th SG: Putting, which is a nice skillset to possess at a lengthy course with fast greens like Quail Hollow Club.
Kim withdrew from the Truist Championship after firing +2 in back-to-back rounds last week. He's ranked 129th total driving, including 94th driving distance. Kim is also 113th SG: Putting, leaning on his approach shot accuracy to salvage a decent score.
Kim is 156th in Round 1 scoring average (71.21) in 2025. English has an outright win at The Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines this season, while averaging 70.45 in Round 1, ranked 107th on the PGA Tour.
The wrong golfer is favored to win this matchup. Let's take advantage and bet a unit on English to beat Kim with a lower score in Round 1 on Thursday at -110 odds.
