Los Angeles Kings vs. Ottawa Senators Prediction
Los Angeles has quickly gone from a more defensive minded squad in the league to having one of the most prolific offenses. They lead the league in all contests with a 4.25 GPG average and their opponent tonight ranks third best in the league at 4.00 flat. Ottawa looks great in the Brady Tkachuk era and I love the way both squads are moving the puck right now.
Even better for us, the way these teams are playing caters for tonights clash. Ottawa is playing better at home with a 4.40 GPG average and Los Angeles is scoring an absolutely UNREAL 5.25 GPG on the road. It does not take a genius to realize that regression will set in and these averages will not stay that high all season but with a couple weeks of the season under our belts now, we can take some things away from it. These offenses are legit and we are poised for a slug fest tonight.
Cam Talbot and Joonas Korpisalo will be between the pipes tonight. Talbot was with Minnesota before ending up in Los Angeles and he has looked great so far this season but Ottawa at home is a serious test. Korpisalo finds himself in Ottawa after spending the last few seasons in Columbus and while he has been alright so far this season, Los Angeles is going to test everything he has.
