Well we have a loaded slate on this glorious Thursday in the NHL and I am ready to attack some of my favorite spots on the board. The first game I want to dive into takes us back to Phoenix as the Montreal Canadiens are in the States for the clash with the Arizona Coyotes and I expect these two young squads to get after it tonight.

Montreal Canadiens vs. Arizona Coyotes Prediction
Arizona is absolutely on fire on home ice right now sporting a 4.67 GPG average with 14 goals in three games. The young Desert Dogs are one of the more exciting teams in the league and I expect them to keep this jump and energy for a lot of the season, especially early on here where anything is possible for anyone and (theoretically) all 32 teams can win the Stanley Cup right now.
With Karel Vejmelka having started for Arizona last night, we will get Connor Ingram in net for the Yotes this evening and I like the total even more that way. Ingram is the lesser of the two net minders despite having a strong start to the season currently sporting a 2.51 GAA and .914 save percentage to go along with a 2-1 record.
On the flip side, the Cabs should be sending Jake Allen out between the pipes sporting a 3-0-1 record and 2.63 GAA. Allen is a league veteran with plenty of experience off to a strong start but the Yotes are feeling themselves and will be able to score. Montreal has been solid on the road with a 3.16 GPG average and the young stars like Cole Caufield have looked excellent so far this season.
