New Jersey Devils vs. Detroit Red Wings Prediction
New Jersey is off to an incredible start this season regarding totals at 13-3 for the over on the season and 8-2 across their last ten. They are scoring 3.66 GPG which puts them firmly in the top tier for the league but they are having their problems as well. Despite ranking sixth best in scoring, they sit fourth worst for their goals allowed average conceding 3.78 goals per contest. The pace has been incredible in all of their games, they have a plethora of young talent who love to attack and I expect a squad that has lost four of their last five games to come out firing.
On the flip side, Detroit is conceding 3.31 GPG and scoring 3.53, both good numbers for us here. They have also lost four of their last five so both squads are looking to right the ship here, I really. think we see a slugfest here. Despite the losses, Detroit is still scoring plenty and are due for another night of good offense after being held to two goals in the game against Toronto. The were overseas last week for the international series and had a 2-0 lead entering the third before conceding three straight to blow the win.
