Chicago Blackhawks vs. Dallas Stars Prediction: Can Joe Pavelski, Stars Light the Lamp Against Blackhawks?

We have a loaded slate on the ice tonight and I love the board, I think there is some money to be made and we are going to get after it tonight. To kick off our night, we are heading down to the Lone Star State. The Dallas Stars are set to host the Chicago Blackhawks, in what should be an entertaining clash between these western conference foes.

Chicago Blackhawks vs. Dallas Stars Prediction

Chicago has obviously struggled this year at 11-22-1, but they have shown some grit. They are scoring some goals and winning some games right now, and that is all you can really ask for a young team during the infancy of a rebuild, top to bottom. They do not necessarily matchup well with the Stars, but since they know that, I expect an underdog mentality and a lot of risks to be taken. Chicago should push back with pace and try to make this game a track meet.

Dallas has been great this season at 20-9-4 and remain one of the western conferences title contenders but the defense has struggled more this season, and we have seen the Stars in some spots we did not see often last season. The trend right now for the Stars is the lamp is being lit when they are on home ice, and I expect that to continue here tonight against a young Chicago squad. The over is 12-4 at home for the Stars, who are also one of the best 1st period scoring teams. Four of the last five head-to-head have gone over.
