The second game I want to dive into tonight takes us to the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri. The Blues (21-18-2) host the Philadelphia Flyers in a cross-conference clash that should yield a really close game. Both squads are playing better than expected heading into the season and now are trying to jockey positioning for a potential run at the playoffs.

Philadelphia Flyers vs. St. Louis Blues Prediction

Philly has played some excellent hockey this season. I think they are a team that can wear you down and play the checking game and find that goal when they need it, it's not always flashy or exciting but they win. Tonight, Carter Hart will be between the pipes for the Flyers and he is having a solid year. Hart is 11-8-3 with a 2.7 GAA and .911 save percentage most recently coming off a 4-3 win over Manny.

Joel Hoffer will be between the pipes for the Blues sporting a record of 7-7 with a 2.87 GAA and save percentage of .908; the young rookie has improved with every outing and seems to be picking up steam between the pipes. The Blues have won three of their last five with losses coming to Florida and Boston, victories over New York, Carolina and Vancouver.

I honestly just love the way the Blues are playing right now and am going to take them to keep putting one foot in front of the other tonight. The overtime loss to Boston sucked but they clawed back to earn points and got something out of it against a great team. Throughout the season, you have to win home games like this, it's that simple. Avoid back-to-back losses and get things moving again.
