Colorado Avalanche vs. Ottawa Senators Prediction: Can Mikko Rantanen, Avs Find Offense in Ottawa?
Sadly, we do not have action on the gridiron today, but we do have another strong hockey slate tonight. To kick things off, we are heading up to the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, as the Senators (15-23) host the Colorado Avalanche (28-13-3), in what should be a really exciting game. This one is quite rich for my blood, but I do not want to play seven so I'll take the juice on the one unit play to get a line I like better here.

Colorado Avalanche vs. Ottawa Senators Prediction
Colorado remains one of the best offensive teams in the league, ranking second best in the NHL with a 3.62 GPG average and the best power play in hockey right now. You are all aware of how star-studded that roster is, between Makar, Rantanen and MacKinnon, the Avalanche already have enough to keep other teams busy. Yet they still have more with Toews, Nichushkin and others. The Avalanche are playing wonderful hockey right now, but are coming off 4-3 loss in Montreal last night. The game was tied 3-3 late, but the Habs took the lead and hung on in the end. Colorado should be lively tonight as they look to avoid back-to-back losses and get points back for last night's donut.
On the flip side, Ottawa's record is not impressive, but the offensive production still is. They rank ninth-best in the league with a 3.32 GPG average, and just as the Avalanche have their horses, Ottawa does too. They are the lesser squad here but with Tkachuk, Giroux, Stutzle and Tarasenko, Ottawa will make this game interesting. Love goals here, think it takes some crazy bad puck luck for this one not to hit.
