Carolina Hurricanes vs. Boston Bruins Prediction: Can David Pastrnak, Bruins Light the Lamp Against Canes?
I love when they stagger the NHL slate like this. Why do we need 14 games on Tuesday, two on Wednesday and 14 more on Thursday? Listen, I understand travel and rest logistics and blah blah blah, I'm talking for the fans. Having a good handful of games each night is good for the soul. Anyways, we have a strong board tonight and I am ready to dive into the slate. The first game we are diving into today takes us to the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts as the Boston Bruins (29-8-9) host the Carolina Hurricanes (25-15-5) for an clash between Eastern Conference juggernauts.

Carolina Hurricanes vs. Boston Bruins Prediction
This is a terrific rivalry, especially over the past few years. Both squads are elite members of their respective divisions and among the best on their side of the bracket. We have seen awesome playoff clashes and regular season games played like they would be in June. I think these squads light the lamp tonightand there's a lot of reasons I do. Boston is on a ridiculous run right now; a team know for defensive prowess (not exclusively but it is their strongest assist generally) has been thrashing teams offensively. They have scored 25 goals in their last five games and have scored more than four in four of five.
On the flip side, Carolina has been all over the place this season, and despite being a squad I still consider one of the best, they have been poor defensively and the play between the pipes has not been good this year. There should be plenty of opportunities for both squads to light the lamp tonight.
