Ottawa Senators vs. Detroit Red Wings Prediction: Can Alex Lyon, Red Wings Dominate?
Well we are not getting the most exciting matchups of the season as things wind down here before the All Star break but we do have one solid clash tonight between two teams that have played in some pretty high scoring affairs as of late. The Ottawa Senators (19-25-2) are in the Motor City tonight for clash with the Detroit Red Wings (26-18-5) at the Little Caesars arena for their final game before the All Star break. This one has potential to see fireworks but I am expecting one side to pull away here as well so let's dive in.

Ottawa Senators vs. Detroit Red Wings Prediction
I really wouldn't mind betting this total at a decent line, I am just seeing a lot of sevens right now and the 6.5s I am seeing are way too juicy. Both squads shoot a lot, Detroit has been stellar at 9-3 so for this season and while Ottawa shoots and scores a good bit, they concede even more than that.
The Senators are just 5-9 in 2024 and have struggled immensely to find consistency. With that said, they have won four the last five head-to-head and the last two earlier this year holding a 2-1 lead on the season series.
Detroit get back game here to even up the season series, they are playing way too well not to back them at such a good price. Alex Lyon (13-6-1; 2.49 GAA; .924 Sv%; two shutouts) is the superior net mind here and with one more start before the break. I expect a strong effort from this home squad. Goals should be scored but the Red Wings should win in the end.
