Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Minnesota Wild Prediction: Will We See Fireworks in Minnesota?
Well, we crushed it on the ice last night so I do not want to force any action on a small board here tonight but I like some action here on Friday's NHL slate. The Pittsburgh Penguins (23-17-7) are in Saint Paul, Minnesota, tonight for a clash with the Wild (22-23-5) at the Xcel Energy Center tonight for their eighth meeting since 2019 and I expect a slugfest tonight. Both squads have played one game since the break and won their respective contests.

Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Minnesota Wild Prediction
I bring up 2019 specifically because these teams have met seven times since then and six of those games went over with an average just shy of 8.5 GPG. Four of the last five have gone over and the lone meeting thus far this season saw seven. Pittsburgh has won four straight so they seem to have the Wilds number right now and I expect Minnesota to be motivated to snap that streak on home ice.
On paper, Pittsburgh has all the offensive prowess in the world and maybe a strong matchup like Minnesota will bring it out of them. Despite back-to-back victories, they have scored just ten goals in their last five and have not scored more than three since January 8th. They are due for some offensive boom here soon. Minnesota is better offensively and brings the advantage on special teams.
