The first game we are diving into today takes us to the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri. The Colorado Avalanche (43-20-5) are visiting the St. Louis Blues (36-29-3) for what should be an awesome Central Division clash between tow teams that straight up do not like each other. Colorado leads the season series 2-1 but St. Louis handed Colorado one of their worst losses on the year when they lost 8-2 on home ice to the Blues.

We are going to push our luck a bit here. The notes ride a four game win streak into this one and while Colorado is jockeying for playoff position, St. Louis is fighting for their lives. They are within shouting distance of the final wild card spot and the boys are playing good hockey .St. Louis is much better on home ice and the home crowd hates one of their biggest rival; with a crucial two points on the line, I expect a strong effort.
A key factor in this one is Blues net minder Jordan Binnington. The 2019 Stanley Cup Champion is having an exceptional year between the pipes with a 2.8 GAA, .913 save percentage and three shutouts - he hates Colorado. The rivalry between these two squads is real and the notes had the Avalanche on the ropes with a chance to send the series to seven games two years ago before a miraculous last second goal secured the win. The thing is, Ville Husso was in net that game. Nazim Kadri took out Binnington which forced him out of the game and the playoffs; there has been bad blood ever since and Jordan loves that type of energy.
