The Dallas Stars head back home to take on the Vegas Golden Knights from American Airlines Center in Dallas with the series tied 2–2. The road team has taken every game in this series so far, which is a bit surprising when you think about it. However, the Stars have won back-to-back games and are now favored to win at home in Game 5. Can they break the streak in this series of road-team dominance?

Vegas Golden Knights vs. Dallas Stars Game 5 Prediction
The Dallas Stars are back in the series after falling to 0-2 thanks in part by some incredible play from center Wyatt Johnston. Johnston had two goals in game three and a goal in game four on a combined 14 shots to help the Stars come back in this series. Miro Heiskanen, Jason Robertson, and Wyatt Johnston all are tied with four points to lead the Stars in the postseason. To no one's surprise, Jack Eichel is the points leader for the Golden Knights in the series with six. He has three goals and three assists but has been mostly quiet over the last two games, with two points combined. Jonathan Marchessault got an assist last game but has also been very quiet over the last two games. The Knights will need these two to start making some more noise if they want to win this series. Surprisingly, the Knights are turning to Adin Hill in net for the first time in the series in Game 5. While Adin Hill was a large part of the Knight's Stanley Cup run last season in the playoffs, he did not start in the series yet because he was still dealing with an injury, and Logan Thompson has been playing much better down the later stretch of the season.
Both Thompson and Adan Hill have nearly identical numbers on the season, but with Hill recovering from an injury, and having a few rough starts coming into the postseason, Thompson had been starting in net this series. However, it will be Hill in net for Game 5.
Hill had a rough start after coming back from injury, giving up five goals in his first start back and three in the next two. He has only had three starts since coming back from injury and will now be thrown in net for game five.
On the other side, Jake Oettinger will remain in net for Game 5 of the series. Oettinger had a very rough start in game one, allowing four goals on just 15 shots in a 3–4 loss. However, he has locked in since, allowing two goals flat over the last three games of the series, allowing Dallas a way back in and giving them a chance. The home team has yet to win a game in this series, but I think we see that change tonight. Hill being thrown in net while still possibly recovering from an injury shows that the Knights may be getting a little desperate with the Stars starting to gain some momentum. The Stars have been out-skating the Knights in this series, and if they win tonight, they will be in complete control of their own destiny. I think this is a poor move from the Knights and we will see another master class from Oettinger en route to the third stars win in a row. I am taking the stars to win in regulation to knock off the juice from the money line and get this at even money.
