Monday Night Puck! Tonight we have to great games with major playoff implications, and I want to double dip on the late game. The Dallas Stars hold a 2-1 lead over the Colorado Avalanche, after stealing Game 3 at Ball Arena Saturday night and taking each of the last two games, they currently hold all the momentum in this series. With Game 5 back at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Colorado needs a win tonight on home ice.

Dallas Stars vs. Colorado Avalanche Prediction
Double dipping here. Through Colorado's first six playoff games they scored 32 goals (5.33 GPG), while going 5-1 and dominating their opponents offensively. You cannot expect to do that every game, but considering they did that against two of the best netminders and defensive teams in the league this season, you know they are capable of doing so. In the last two games, they have scored just four goals for a 2.00 GPG average; that is not going to fly with Alexander Georgiev in net and they know that. This team lives and dies on high octane - you need to score to win, and I expect them to go full throttle here tonight.
The second play I want to take is obviously my side in this game and if you have not picked up on this yet from context clues, I am on the Avalanche. They were dominate in the first two weeks of the playoffs against some really good competition, and while I am not knocking Oettinger and the Stars, I still the Colorado is the better team here and they have underperformed the last six periods. They did not look like themselves this weekend, and if there has ever been a time to figure it out, it is now. Avs throw the kitchen sink at them tonight.
