We are back for Game 4 of the 2024 Stanley Cup Finals and tonight, I think the Cats put the nail in the coffin. The Florida Panthers won Game 4 by a final score of 4-3 up in Alberta to take a commanding lead in the series and put Edmonton in a chokehold. Florida will look to close out the sweep in Canada tonight while Edmonton will just be looking to extend their season by one more game and go from there.

Only one team in NHL history has overcame a 3-0 deficit to win the Stanley Cup and that was the 1942 Toronto Maple Leafs. That was a different time and these were different teams.
Game 2 and Game 3 are always the most vital games in a series and they generally need to be split to see anything really happen. Matthew Tkachuk and Florida have total control of this series by takin both games. A 2-1 lead would have gave Edmonton life with a chance to get even on home ice, but a 3-0 lead is a dead sentence.
Florida has every tool in the box, they know how to use them and have built something incredible with it. They have been dominate throughout the entire post season and this series, they have gotten better each game in this series.
At this point with the way they are playing and how deflated Edmonton is (despite not admitting or showing it) I think most of the Oilers even know their fate at this point. Look for another spectacular performance by Sergei Bobrovsky as he looks to secure the Conn Smythe Trophy.
