The player I’m eyeing in this game is Oilers star player Connor McDavid. Connor McDavid has been absolutely on fire in this series, leading all skaters with 11 points across the five games in the Finals so far. He is coming off his first multi-goal postseason game this year as well, scoring two goals last game, thanks to the help of an empty-netter in the last minute of game five. Connor McDavid now has back-to-back four-point games
However, despite McDavid being as hot as he is, I am taking him to go under 3.5 shots on goal today. Despite McDavid having back-to-back four-point games, he has had just two shots on goal over the last two games as well. He has hit under 3.5 shots on goal in three of the five games in this series, as the Panthers' defense has done a good job of trying to limit shots on net for Sergei Bobrovsky and has done a pretty good job of it so far.
On top of that, Connor McDavid is much more of a passer than a shooter. He has 34 assists in the postseason and just eight goals. McDavid has averaged 3.1 shots on goal during the postseason, and I like him to have a little bit of a quieter game tonight at least in the shots department. I expect him to rack up his usual assists, but I think he stays under 3.5 shots on goal overall for the third game in a row.
