Notre Dame vs. Princeton Prediction - NCAA Lacrosse National Championship
Notre Dame (-120)
Notre Dame looked like a championship machine in its 15-7 semifinal win over Syracuse. The Irish pulled away with a 6-0 fourth quarter, got 14 saves from Thomas Ricciardelli, and held Syracuse scoreless on five man-up chances. That defensive profile is why Notre Dame deserves the slight favorite tag, even against the No. 1 seed. The Irish are not just talented. They are structured, experienced, and comfortable winning games in different ways.
Ricciardelli gives Notre Dame the slight edge in net, and that can decide a championship game where every extra possession matters. The Irish midfield is also extremely athletic, which should help them control the full field, pressure Princeton in transition, and keep the Tigers from turning this into a pure attack-driven shootout. Princeton may have the better attackmen, but Notre Dame has the more complete championship profile across all areas.
Princeton (+100)
Princeton earned this spot as the No. 1 seed and looked the part after a slow start against Duke. The Tigers eventually rolled 14-7, using a 5-2 third quarter to take control before shutting the door late. That second-half surge showed the composure and depth that made Princeton the top seed, and the Tigers enter the title game on an 11-game winning streak.
The attack is Princeton’s clearest edge. The Tigers can score in bunches, have multiple initiators, and showed against Duke that they can absorb an early push before overwhelming a defense with ball movement and finishing. The concern is championship-game experience. Princeton is one of the sport’s storied programs, but it has not won the national title since 2001 and has not reached the championship game since 2002. Notre Dame has been living in this stage recently, and that matters late.
Notre Dame vs. Princeton Betting Outlook
The total of 22.5 is interesting because both teams just won semifinal games 15-7 and 14-7, but this matchup should be more about control than pure scoring pace. Princeton has the attack to push Notre Dame, yet the Irish defense and Ricciardelli’s presence in goal should prevent this from becoming a track meet. Notre Dame’s midfield athleticism also gives the Irish a strong chance to dictate tempo between the boxes.

- Pick: Notre Dame ML (-120) Check out the best odds at BetMGM Sportsbook
Notre Dame -120 is the side. Princeton has earned respect as the No. 1 seed and has the attack to win the championship, but the Irish are more complete, more proven in this exact moment, and better equipped to manage the pressure of a title game. Notre Dame’s goaltending, midfield athleticism, and championship pedigree should be enough to outlast Princeton and deliver a third national title in four years.
