Chelsea vs. PSG Prediction, Best Bet, Latest FIFA Club World Cup Final Odds

The FIFA Club World Cup will come to an exciting conclusion on Sunday afternoon when PSG and Chelsea square off in the final. Can Ousmane Dembele and the scorching hot PSG side shut down Chelsea at Metlife Stadium today? Matt MacKay answers with his Chelsea vs. PSG prediction and best bet for the FIFA Club World Cup on July 13th.

Chelsea vs. PSG Prediction, Best Bet, Latest FIFA Club World Cup Final Odds

MetLife Stadium is set to host the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup Final between Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET. Oddsmakers are bullish on PSG, laying -160 on them to win in regulation against their English Premier League opponent.

The Parisians have been dominant during this tournament. Only one opponent has managed to score a goal, which came during the group stage in a 1-0 loss to Botafogo. Since that result, PSG is 12-0 in goals scored versus goals allowed.

Chelsea is a heavy underdog, catching +275 odds in the FIFA Club World Cup Final Winner futures market. The Blues have undoubtedly had an easier path to the Final than PSG, beating a pair of Brazilian clubs in the Quarter-finals and Semi-finals by a combined score of 4-1.

Chelsea vs. PSG Prediction

Chelsea has a tough assignment to take down a red-hot PSG club during Sunday's FIFA Club World Cup Final. The good news for The Blues is that they've managed to score a goal in all six matches played during this tournament.

Chelsea's scoring ability puts pressure on Paris, although they've managed to successfully shut out five of six opponents played. PSG's midfield is elite, rostering Fabián Ruiz, Vitinha and João Neves. Their ability to control the ball and dictate pace is fantastic and should remain with an advantage facing Chelsea's two midfielders.

The best player on the field, who is currently the favorite to win the prestigious Ballon d'Or award, is PSG's Ousmane Dembélé. He's fresh, resting during the second half of a 4-0 blowout win against Real Madrid in the Semi-finals.

The star forward has two goals in only three games played during the FIFA Club World Cup. Meanwhile, Ruiz paces all PSG scorers with three goals. Achraf Hakimi, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Bradley Barcola each have a pair of assists.

Chelsea's best chance to pull off an upset is by avoiding an early deficit. Pedro Neto and recently signed 23-year-old, João Pedro, will be tasked with breaking through PSG's midfield and elite defense. Pedro scored both of the club's goals during their 2-0 win against Fluminense in the Semi-finals.

PSG's moneyline, meaning to win in regulation, is juiced at -160 odds. When the Parisians win, they've done it in regulation by a multi-goal margin during the FIFA Club World Cup. It makes sense why oddsmakers have priced their line this short against Chelsea.

I'm more interested in the total goals market in this match. PSG has scored 10 goals in their last three tournament matches, enjoying a 6-0 margin during the Knockout Stage. Opponents have simply not been able to muster up any production against the UEFA Champions League winner.

Currently, the total goals line is set to 2.5, with -145 odds on the over. Under 2.5 total goals is +125 odds, which is tempting, considering how well PSG plays defense. Chelsea's defense isn't a pushover, holding their last four opponents to two combined goals entering Sunday's Final.

It feels like there are two possible outcomes in this match. PSG will continue to pour in goals, scoring at least two like they've done in all five wins during this tournament, or, it's going to be a low-scoring grind.

Chelsea has yet to be shut out in the FIFA Club World Cup but there's a strong probability that happens on Sunday. We can bet them to go under 0.5 goal at +164 odds. Or, bet under 2.5 total goals, also available at plus odds.

PSG's explosive offense makes me nervous backing under 2.5 in the total goals market. Instead, let's bet Chelsea under 0.5 goal and bank on the Parisians to continue playing shut down defense en route to winning the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup Final.
