Alexander Zverev faces Flavio Cobolli on Sunday, June 7, at 9 a.m. ET in the French Open final at Roland Garros. Zverev is a heavy -345 favorite, while Cobolli comes back at +270 after receiving a walkover into the final when Matteo Arnaldi withdrew from their semifinal with a stomach virus.

Flavio Cobolli vs. Alexander Zverev Prediction
Zverev’s semifinal was not effortless, but it was controlled. He beat Mensik 7-5, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3, steadying himself after the young Czech made a real push in the third set. It was another example of Zverev’s title-level form in Paris, where his serve and backhand have allowed him to dictate from safer positions while avoiding the long collapses that have hurt him in previous major runs.
Cobolli’s path has been stranger, but his run is legitimate. He reached his first Grand Slam final after Arnaldi withdrew before their semifinal due to illness, but that came after Cobolli reverse-swept Felix Auger-Aliassime in the quarterfinals, winning 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 to earn his first major semifinal and secure a top-10 ranking breakthrough.
The rest factor is interesting. Cobolli did not have to play a semifinal, which should help physically, but there is also a rhythm question after advancing by walkover instead of earning match reps under pressure. Zverev had to work through four sets against Mensik, but that may actually help sharpen him for a final where he cannot afford to start flat against a confident underdog.
The head-to-head gives Cobolli enough hope to make this more than a coronation. Zverev leads the series 3-1, but Cobolli did beat him on clay earlier this year in Munich, proving he can trouble the German when he gets into extended rallies and forces Zverev to defend. Zverev should still have too much serve, backhand control, and big-stage experience to lose this match, but Cobolli has earned enough respect to steal a set.
Flavio Cobolli vs. Alexander Zverev Best Bet
- Best Bet: Cobolli to Win At Least One Set + Zverev Moneyline (+125) Check out the best odds at FanDuel Sportsbook
Zverev to win the match while Cobolli wins at least one set at +125 is the play. Zverev has been too consistent and too close to this moment to fade outright, but Cobolli is rested, confident, and dangerous enough to make the favorite work. Expect Cobolli to push through one strong set before Zverev’s experience and cleaner weapons carry him to his first Grand Slam title.
