Jannik Sinner vs. Novak Djokovic Prediction, Betting Pick, Latest Wimbledon Odds for Friday's Semifinal

Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic meet Friday in a blockbuster Wimbledon semifinal at the All England Club. Sinner is the heavy favorite, but Djokovic has already reminded the tennis world this year that he can still solve this matchup when the stage is at its biggest.

Jannik Sinner vs. Novak Djokovic Prediction: Can Djokovic Stun Sinner Again in Wimbledon Semifinal Today?

Sinner faces Djokovic on Friday, July 10, with an estimated 10:45 a.m. ET start in the Wimbledon semifinals. Sinner is a massive -450 favorite, while Djokovic is +340 to pull another major upset and move one win away from another Grand Slam title.

The winner will likely face Alexander Zverev in the final, with the German coming off his French Open title and playing some of the best major tennis of his career. That gives this semifinal even more weight, as Sinner tries to reassert himself after his French Open collapse and Djokovic looks to keep one more historic Wimbledon run alive.

Jannik Sinner vs. Novak Djokovic Prediction

The head-to-head is close at 6-5 in favor of Sinner, but the timeline tells the real story. Djokovic won four of the first five meetings from 2021 to 2023, using his return game, defensive depth and point construction to frustrate the younger Italian. Sinner then flipped the matchup and won five straight, showing how much his baseline power, serve and movement improved once he became the more physically dominant player in the rivalry.

Djokovic did snap that skid in January at the Australian Open, stunning Sinner in a five-set semifinal. That result matters because it proved Djokovic still has a path when he can stretch the match, change speeds and force Sinner to manage pressure late speeds and force Sinner to manage pressure late. Still, asking him to do it again at 39, after another demanding Wimbledon run, is a much tougher proposition.

Sinner has been a little shaky by his own standard, especially after the French Open collapse left questions about how he would respond in the next major. He was tested early at Wimbledon, but since then his level has stabilized. The serve has sharpened, the baseline timing has returned, and his ability to take the racket out of opponents’ hands remains the biggest reason he is priced as such a heavy favorite.

Djokovic’s case is built on one thing: he can still steal sets from anyone. Even if Sinner is the better player right now, Djokovic remains too smart, too experienced and too clean in big moments to be dismissed in straight sets. He can find a tiebreak, exploit a slow Sinner start or turn one loose service game into a set before the favorite fully settles.

The better value is not laying -450 on Sinner alone. Both players to win a set is already -172, which shows the market expects Djokovic to make this competitive. Pairing that with Sinner to win the match creates a much better number and fits the most likely script, where Djokovic has enough left to take one set but not enough to win three.

Jannik Sinner vs. Novak Djokovic Best Bet

Back Sinner to win the match and both players to win a set at +128. Djokovic is more than capable of stealing one, and if Sinner starts slowly this can become a five-set battle, but the younger player’s current pace, power and physical edge should win out. The most likely result is a 3-1 Sinner win that sends him into the Wimbledon final.
