Orlando Magic vs Phoenix Suns Picks and Predictions: Booker Out, Orlando Rolling Into Phoenix
The Orlando Magic, sitting 5th in the Eastern Conference at 29-25, continue their four-game West Coast trip with a Saturday showdown against the 32-24 Phoenix Suns at Mortgage Matchup Center, tipping off at 5:00 PM ET. With the Magic riding a 4-1 stretch fueled by Banchero's All-Star form and one of the league's stingiest defenses, this matchup pits a surging Eastern contender fresh off a 131-94 demolition in Sacramento against a fading Suns squad coming off an embarrassing 121-94 beatdown in San Antonio, their fourth loss in five games. Now set to play without leading scorer Devin Booker (right hip strain, 24.7 PPG), two franchises moving in opposite directions collide in Phoenix on February 21, 2026.

Magic vs Suns Recent Performance
The Magic arrive in Phoenix on the back of a 131-94 blowout win over Sacramento Thursday night, with Banchero dropping 30, Anthony Black adding 20, and Desmond Bane chipping in 17 in what was essentially a 48-minute statement. Orlando has won four of its last five and hasn't slowed down since the All-Star break. The Suns are heading the other direction, having dropped four of their last five including a 121-94 humiliation in San Antonio on Friday night where Jalen Green's 26 points were barely a footnote in a game that was over by halftime. Coming home should help Phoenix regroup, but they're still the same team that's gone 1-4 in their last five with their leading scorer now sitting in street clothes.
Magic vs Suns Head to Head
Orlando has owned this matchup lately. The Magic swept both regular-season meetings last season, covering as -4.5 and -2 favorites in wins by 10 and 5 points. The most recent meeting ended 115-110 in Orlando's favor at Kia Center. Phoenix does hold a 5-1 edge in their last six home games against the Magic, so some home-court history exists, but that streak predates Orlando's current run of form by a wide margin.

Magic vs Suns Team News
Orlando heads into Saturday without Franz Wagner, held out for injury management on the back-to-back. Jalen Suggs (back spasms) is questionable, and both Alex Morales and Colin Castleton stayed back on G League assignments. The good news: Banchero is good to go and looked every bit like an All-Star candidate Thursday night.
Phoenix has its own injury headaches. Booker (right hip strain) is officially out, and his 24.7 PPG is not something you just paper over. Haywood Highsmith (right knee) is also sidelined, while Grayson Allen (right ankle sprain) is questionable. Dillon Brooks returns after serving his technical foul suspension and figures to carry a bigger offensive load alongside Green and Collin Gillespie (13.2 PPG). Brooks posted back-to-back 23-point efforts heading into the break, so the motor is running, but replacing Booker's volume and playmaking on short rest is a tall order for any single player.
Prediction: Magic 112, Suns 107
This game has road upset written all over it. Orlando is playing loose and confident on a West Coast trip, while Phoenix is limping home after getting run out of the building in San Antonio. Losing Booker is massive for the Suns, as without him the offense becomes Brooks taking contested jumpers and hoping Green gets going. Both are capable scorers, with Brooks at 21.2 PPG and Green at 20.1, but both teams went Under on Thursday night, Orlando's defense has been elite during this 4-1 stretch, and the Magic just held Sacramento to 94 points. The stage is set for a grind. The Magic are 4-1 in their last five and the Suns are 1-4 in theirs, so betting on Phoenix to right the ship at home makes sense in theory. The numbers keep pointing the other way.
Best Bet: Magic (+2.5) (-125) Click here to get the best odds at DraftKings Sportsbook
The Suns at home are normally a reasonable favorite. Not this Saturday. Booker is out, Orlando is rolling at 4-1 in the last five with Banchero in full monster mode, and Phoenix has gone just 1-4 ATS in their last five games. The spread is short enough to eat the juice and back Orlando to cover or outright steal this one. The Magic won both meetings last season as favorites, so taking them as dogs at +2.5 with this kind of momentum is found value.
