Connections have had to be patient with ENCORE but it looks like paying off. On her first appearance for William Haggas after the best part of a year off, the 200,000-euro half-sister to Lope Y Fernandez was a well-beaten second at Windsor. She showed the benefit of that outing when landing the odds at Kempton, though, and an opening mark of 70 certainly looks workable. Piazza is holding her form so well and is expected to be in the thick of the action once more. Korbut and Crafty Blue should be bang in contention too.
