Canelo v Crawford Boxing Records
Alvarez and Crawford have two of most formidable records in boxing.
Alvarez made his professional debut aged 15 and has gone on to fight 67 times since. The Mexican icon has won world titles in four weight classes and is the only fighter to occupy all four belts in the super-middle weight divison.
When fighting at tonight's weight of 168-pounds, Alvarez has never been beaten. The 35-year-old boasts an incredible resume having beaten the likes of Gennady Golovkin, Sergey Kovalev, Billy Joe Saunders and Callum Smith.
His only two losses came at the hands of Floyd Mayweather, who is largely regarded as one of, if not, the greatest pound-for-pound fighter of all-time, and to Dmitry Bivol at light-heavyweight in 2022.
Crawford, 37, is a two-weight undisputed champion and remains unbeaten 41 fights into his professional career. The American has held world titles in four weight classes and has the opportunity to make history by becoming the first male boxer to win an undisputed title in three weight classes in the four-belt era on Saturday night.
A southpaw by trade, Crawford has defeated some huge names including Amir Khan, Ricky Burns, Shawn Porter and perhaps most impressivly Errol Spence Jr in 2023.
Heading into this fight, many fans have pointed towards Crawford coming up two weight classes to face Alavrez as a potential obstacle, despite both men being evenly matched in terms of ability. Currenlty, the best odds you can get on a Crawford victory is 13/8, giving him an implied probability of 38.1% to win.
Whereas for Alvarez, who is very comfortable in this division, UK bookmakers have him as the favourite at 16/25 and a 61% implied probability to defend his titles.
