The most backed team in each English division

We reveal the most backed side in each tier of English football.

WATFORD to beat Everton – 29/20

Form: WDWLD

This is a huge clash for Everton manager Marco Silva. The former Watford boss is under serious pressure at the moment with his new side looking lacklustre of late and only managing one win in their last five matches in all competitions. The Hornets’ home record against Everton is poor and their current Premier league form does not read much better, yet punters clearly think the negativity surrounding tomorrow’s opponents will be enough to see the home side through.

PRESTON to beat Bolton – 10/11

Form: LDWWD

Bolton come into this having only won one of their last 20 league fixtures, leaving them at the foot of the Championship bar one. Preston have managed to keep two consecutive clean sheets, winning 2-0 at Stoke before holding Derby to a well-earned goalless draw. Punters think they can build on those results with a win away from home here.

AFC WIMBLEDON to beat Burton – 12/5

Form: DLLWL

League One’s bottom side AFC Wimbledon are an unlikely outfit to find in this article, but a home fixture against 13th place Burton could represent an opportunity. Burton Albion are without a win in four league games and despite the Wombles having lost more games than any other team in the league, it’s the home team that are getting the backing.

LINCOLN to beat Northampton – 11/12

Form: DWWDD

Lincoln are sitting at the top of League Two, and Northampton shouldn’t pose much of a threat tomorrow. On a 10-match unbeaten run in the league, Lincoln will be hoping to put the pressure back on title rivals Mansfield with a win at Sincil Bank. Northampton will hope they can record back-to-back away wins in the league, but face an uphill struggle in this one.
