Raheem Sterling uploaded a letter to social media today thanking Manchester City fans, as he prepares to move to Chelsea. But who will follow him through the door?
The Blues had been odds-on to sign the 77-cap England international since mid-June when reports first surfaced of a potential move to join Thomas Tuchel’s side.
Josh Wright from WhoScored had this to say on Sterling: “Mason Mount is the only current Chelsea player that has ever reached double figures for goals in a single Premier League season. Sterling, by contrast, has scored 10+ league goals in each of the last five seasons.”

This summer window could prove to be a busy one for the West London club as new owner Todd Boehly begins to implement his ideas and vision at the club.
Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen and Romelu Lukaku have already left the club and there are a host of players linked to replace them.

Former Blues defender Nathan Ake has been strongly linked to a return to the club where he spent six years (making just seven league appearances). The Dutch international has seen his price come in from 16/1 to 1/8 to follow Sterling’s lead and make the switch from the Etihad to Stamford Bridge.
Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo has also been odds-on this week to move to Chelsea; however, that price has drifted out to 4/1 after Erik ten Hag confirmed that Ronaldo is in his plans.
As well as seemingly missing out on Ronaldo, Chelsea’s pursuit of defender Matthijs de Ligt looks to be over after being as short as 2/5 last week (now 8/1). The Dutch centre-half is now 1/8 to join Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich following successful talks with head coach Julien Nagelsmann.

Despite looking likely to miss out on de Ligt, Chelsea are making progress in their pursuit of a new centre-back after reportedly agreeing personal terms with Kalidou Koulibaly.
They are also favourites in the market to land Burnley wide-man Maxwell Cornet (7/2 best price) and Bayern Munich forward Serge Gnabry (2/1 best price).
Meanwhile, Blues fans should also expect some more outgoings, with Ross Barkley (4/1 to join Everton), Marcos Alonso (1/3 Barcelona), and Hakim Ziyech expected to leave this summer.
