As Jude Bellingham’s Dortmund prepare to host Chelsea in the Champions League on Wednesday night, we look at the odds for each of his potential summer destinations.
At the start of the season it would not have surprised anyone to hear that Liverpool were the front runners to sign Dortmund’s number 22 but after the season they have had so far, it is surprising they remain favourites to sign Jude Bellingham this summer. Real Madrid (2/1) and Man City (3/1) are the other two mentioned in the same breath, yet with the latter’s legal issues coming to light in recent weeks, it appears very unlikely they get the Haaland x Bellingham reunion they so desperately desire. Pep sees him as Kevin de Bruyne’s natural successor, but with financial penalties potentially on the horizon, their chances of landing the teenager have drifted to 6/1 with some bookmakers.
After Liverpool, Real Madrid is the most likely destination. The 14-times Champions League winners (12/1 best price to retain their title in June) are the Galacticos of European football and have immense pulling power, as seen throughout the last few decades.
