It’s all change in the next Rangers manager odds market, as Wayne Rooney now finds himself in the top five list of replacements for Michael Beale.
The Manchester United legend is the latest managerial candidate to have their odds slashed for the Rangers job as his price dropped from 66/1 to 7/1 on Sunday (now a best 8/1 on BetVictor).
Birmingham City manager John Eustace is the favourite for the role at 2/1 on bet365 (33.3% chance), with Philippe Clement – most recently of Monaco – second favourite with the bookmakers at 3/1.
Eustace's price had been as high as 20/1 on Sunday morning. His Birmingham side beat West Brom 3-1 on Friday night to move into a playoff position in the Championship.
Rooney stepped down from his role with MLS side DC United after 15 months in the job having failed to reach the MLS Cup play-offs.

Quote from oddschecker spokesperson, Leon Blackman: "Rooney's odds have taken a dramatic turn to become the new manager at Ibrox.
“Moving from 66/1 on Sunday morning to 7/1 at the close of the day yesterday is a significant shift. It shoots him up to fourth favourite for the role in the betting behind John Eustace, Philippe Clement and early market frontrunner Kevin Muscat.
“Interestingly, Rooney has taken nearly as many bets as Eustace to be the next manager over the past 24 hours. Eustace has taken 27% of the total bets compared to Rooney's 24%, making them the clear top two most popular in the betting market with oddschecker."
