Having been knocked out of the EFl Cup. Questions are being asked over Erik Ten Hags future at Man United.
Erik ten Hag's position as Man United manager is under serious pressure as their 3-0 defeat at home to Newcastle was their eighth defeat from their opening 15 matches in all competitions.
Last night’s Carabao Cup exit also means they’ve suffered consecutive 3-0 defeats at Old Trafford after falling to rivals Man City by the same result over the weekend.
Following the loss last night, bookmakers were quick to slash ten Hag’s odds of being the next Premier League manager to leave their role from 9/1 to 2/1.
He is second in the betting market to Sheffield United boss Paul Heckingbottom with the Blades collecting one point from their opening 10 games.

Leon Blackman from oddschecker said: “Another defeat for Man United piles the pressure again on Erik ten Hag as they suffer their eighth loss of the season so far. 3-0 to a second-string Newcastle side at home has led bookmakers to slash his odds of being the next Premier League manager to leave their post. A change in odds from 9/1 to 2/1 represents a 10% to 33.3% chance of it being ten Hag out the door next.
"Since the full-time whistle went at Old Trafford last night, we’ve seen a staggering amount of bets on Oddschecker backing ten Hag to leave. 93% of total bets across that timeframe have been on the Dutchman, compared to just 28% the week previously. Man United travel to Fulham on Saturday lunchtime, and another defeat could mark the end of Erik’s tenure with the Red Devils.”
