A new favourite has emerged in the next Cardiff manager odds market.
After taking just one point from their opening six Championship matches, Cardiff City sacked Erol Bulut 18 days ago - but the Bluebirds are yet to announce the appointment of a new manager.
Following the dismissal of Bulut, assistant manager Omer Riza has stepped into the leading role for the interim, overseeing a win, a draw and a loss in his three games in charge.
The 44-year-old has insisted he does not know whether he will have the opportunity to take on the role full-time. “I’ve had no indication of what will happen,” he said following the draw with Bristol City at the weekend.
Who is the favourite to be the next Cardiff City manager?
At the time of writing, former West Ham, West Brom and Watford manager Slaven Bilic is leading the race as the favourite for to be named the new Cardiff boss, at best price 3/1 with BetVictor.

The 56-year-old’s most recent job was with Saudi Arabian side Al-Fateh, who he left by mutual consent in the summer after just over a year.
Following close behind Bilic are interim boss Omer Riza (5/1), while both Steven Schumacher - who was recently sacked by fellow Championship side Stoke City – and Ryan Lowe - dismissed by Preston after one league match this season – are 11/2 on Sky Bet.
Highly-rated Reading boss Ruben Selles (6/1) and former QPR and Rangers manager Michael Beale (8/1), most recently of Sunderland, are among the live outsiders alongside Mark Hughes (now 16/1) – an early frontrunner for the role.
