Donald Trump has regained his status as the favourite to win the US Election.
Over the course of Tuesday evening, Donald Trump regained his status as the bookmakers’ favourite (shortest price 5/6) to win the US Presidential Election.
Kamala Harris has had the slight edge with the oddsmakers for the past two weeks as the polls give her a lead in the election race.
However, her odds have drifted slightly from a general 4/5 to a best price of Evens on AK Bets since the start of this week’s Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Chicago.
As the time of writing, Trump is 2.0 on the Betfair Exchange, with Kamala Harris slightly behind in the odds at 2.08. The best price for Trump outside of the exchanges is 10/11, offered by various bookmakers on the oddschecker grid.
This continues the turbulent month for Trump in the betting odds after being as short as 1.67 and as long as 2.15 in August.
Despite the swing in favour for Trump, Kamala Harris has been the preferred bet on oddschecker this week, taking close to 60% of all bets placed.
Since Harris was confirmed as the Democratic nominee on August 6th, she has taken 55% of bets placed on oddschecker compared to 45% for Trump.
Across the bookmakers who are pricing up this US politics market on oddschecker, seven have Donald Trump favourite and six have Harris favourite, while 11 can't split the two.
The first presidential debate between the two candidates will take place on Tuesday 10th September 10th at the National Constitutional Center in Philadelphia.
