Divisional Round Playoff Schedule (17th & 18th January)

Saturday 17th January (21:30) - Buffalo Bills @ Denver Broncos

Buffalo arrive in Denver full of confidence after coming through the Wild Card round, setting up a fascinating test against a Broncos side that earned a first-round bye and now returns at home with Super Bowl ambitions.

The Bills’ Wild Card win showcased their ability to execute under pressure, but Mile High provides a different challenge entirely, with altitude and noise always a factor in January.

Denver will be looking to start fast and turn this into a home-field statement game, especially against a Buffalo side with a few injury concerns after last weekend.

The key battle looks set to be Buffalo’s explosive offense against a Broncos defense built to disrupt rhythm and win field-position battles.

Expect a physical, playoff-style contest where turnovers and red-zone efficiency will likely decide who advances.

Best odds to win match:
Buffalo Bills - 19/20
Denver Broncos - 19/20

Sunday 18th January (01:00) - San Francisco 49ers @ Seattle Seahawks

This Divisional Round matchup brings immediate edge, with the Seahawks hosting division rivals San Francisco in what feels like a game that could define the NFC picture.

The 49ers come in battle-hardened after a dramatic 23-19 comeback win over the Eagles in the Wild Card round, underlining their big-game mentality and ability to win tight playoff football.

Seattle, meanwhile, have had the benefit of rest after securing a bye and will look to impose their defensive control early, particularly at home.

These rivalry games are often decided by small moments — third downs, field position, and mistakes under pressure — and neither side should expect surprises.

With the Seahawks fresher but the 49ers already in rhythm after last week’s win, this has all the makings of a tense, high-quality contest.

Best odds to win match:
San Francisco 49ers - 10/3
Seattle Seahawks - 2/7

Sunday 18th January (20:00) - Houston Texans @ New England Patriots

Houston travel to Foxborough after producing one of the most dominant Wild Card performances of the weekend, blowing away the Steelers 30-6, with their defense scoring twice and controlling the game from start to finish.

The Patriots advanced as well, with a 16-3 win over the Chargers, as New England’s defense delivered a classic playoff shutdown performance.

That sets up a fascinating tactical clash: Houston thrive on pressure, chaos and turnovers, while the Patriots are built to slow games down and punish mistakes.

If C.J. Stroud and the Texans offense can avoid giving New England cheap possessions, Houston have the defensive ceiling to win anywhere. But in a cold-weather, high-control Gillette Stadium game, the Patriots’ structure and home advantage could make this a real grind.

Best odds to win match:
Houston Texans - 13/10
New England Patriots - 4/6

Sunday 18th January (23:30) - Los Angeles Rams @ Chicago Bears

The Bears welcome the Rams to Soldier Field after surviving a Wild Card thriller, coming from behind to beat the Packers 31-27, a result that showcased their composure and ability to close when the pressure rises.

The Rams also come in with momentum after edging the Panthers 34-31, with Matthew Stafford delivering another clutch performance — and he’s been cleared to play this weekend despite a finger issue picked up last week.

With both sides riding narrow Wild Card wins, this matchup feels like it will come down to execution rather than tactics alone.

Chicago’s home field and defensive intensity could be decisive in January conditions, but the Rams’ ability to score quickly gives them a puncher’s chance.

Expect a close, physical game where whichever team wins in the trenches likely books a place in the NFC Championship.

Best odds to win match:
Los Angeles Rams - 8/15
Chicago Bears - 9/5

The latest Super Bowl outright market reflects a wide-open postseason, but it’s the Seattle Seahawks (3/1) who currently head the betting as the NFC’s top seed and one of the most balanced teams left in the field.

Close behind are the LA Rams (10/3), whose price is driven by their high offensive ceiling and proven playoff experience, with oddsmakers clearly respecting their ability to win shootouts against anyone.

In the AFC, the Bills (6/1) remain the market leader thanks to their explosive offense and strong recent playoff pedigree, although the road route keeps them a step behind the NFC favourites.

The Patriots (13/2) sit next in the betting after another defensively dominant Wild Card performance, with their structure, game management and home advantage making them a classic “January team”.

The Broncos (15/2) are priced as dangerous contenders too, largely due to their bye week benefit and home-field edge in the AFC, though they’ll need to prove it against elite opposition now the knockouts begin.

The Texans (9/1) are viewed as the outside AFC disruptor after their Wild Card demolition job, but their odds reflect the question mark over sustaining that level deeper into the playoffs.

Further down, the Bears (18/1) and 49ers (20/1) are priced as long shots largely because they’ll likely need multiple upsets to win it all, while the Bears are still seen as a tier below the true heavyweights.

Super Bowl Betting Insight: Since the Wild Card round began on Saturday, the Buffalo Bills have been the most popular Super Bowl bet on Oddschecker, taking 22% of all bets placed. The Super Bowl favourites, Seattle, have taken 12% of the share in that time.
