Katie Taylor vs Chantelle Cameron

Katie Taylor vs Chantelle Cameron Prediction

It's a historic one this weekend as Katie Taylor takes on Chantelle Cameron in Dublin, live and exclusive on DAZN.

For the first time in this four-belt era it's undisputed champ against undisputed champ as Taylor, who holds all the marbles at lightweight, steps up to face Cameron in a bid to win her four super lightweight belts too.

Taylor had hoped to box Amanda Serrano on this date at Croke Park in front of 80,000 people but when that fell by the wayside for various reasons they needed a new dance partner and opted for Cameron. I believe this is a harder and more dangerous fight than the Serrano rematch.

There won't be 80,000, more like 10,000 crammed into the 3Arena. It's the hottest ticket in town, Taylor a genuine megastar in Ireland and she's never boxed back there before so this is a professional debut on home soil.

There's a little bit of history there as well; they boxed way back in 2011 as amateurs when Taylor was way more experienced and won on points pretty handily. Cameron later said she was a bit starstruck on the day, which she won't be this time around.

Taylor is a clear favourite for the fight but I believe it's more of a 50/50 Pick'em fight. Taylor has always found a way to win during the course of her career but she's had some really close ones.

That first fight with Delfine Persoon many thought she had lost, she had a classic with Serrano and it was pretty nip and tuck against Tasha Jonas too. I truly believe this will be the hardest fight of her career to date.

Cameron is 17-0, she's bigger, younger, fresher and seems to be getting better with every fight. Taylor might have more experience with these big nights, but in Cameron's last fight she went over and totally outboxed the big punching Jessica McCaskill to claim the biggest win of her career.

Katie Taylor vs Chantelle Cameron Betting Tips

If you believe one of these two can claim a stoppage, DAZN Bet have boosted that price for you. Either Fighter to win by KO, TKO or DQ is now a best price 5/1 from 4/1.

However, these are two incredibly tough women – and maybe not the biggest punchers in the world - so it looks like a distance fight waiting to happen.

For a longer odds angle, I think the draw becomes an interesting bet if it goes the distance. Often those 10 two-minute rounds will go by in the blink of an eye and there will be very little to choose between them. But, will Cameroon get a decision over there in Ireland? That's the big question.
